Solid swell with an offshore first thing this morning but not any waves.
The rain, cold and then sunshine is typical early spring weather and the wind kick in onshore early.
There was a school of fishes out surfing the Bay this arvo. There were only five out but what a mix. The two young groms were on a new 7s fish and a Yahoo hippie fish. The oldest guy had a Burton bat tail quad and one of the others was on a brown, water-logged twin fin that had seen better days. How things have change from probably less than two years ago where just about everyone (except me) was on a 6'2" thruster.
Unfortunately for them the waves weren't great and the paddle out was a bitch. But they seemed to be having fun and the sets were about head height on the take off.
Weak front due on Friday afternoon.
