Surf Movie Sunday

Slim pickings again this week.

Irish surfer and filmmaker Mickey Smith has recently posted this award winning short film

Yet another take on Shipsterns. Watch for the guy getting sucked over the falls around two minutes in.

And for something different a bit of body surfing.

And a history lesson.

Freezing

Third attempt at posting over the last few days. Blogger changed look and kept crashing my posts.

Not the it really mattered much anyway. It has been fairly quiet surf-wise for the last week but if you were in the right place at the right time you could have scored a wave or two. There are some nice banks around and I got a LAGO at the Clam yesterday on the mal. Nothing great but with plenty of potential if the swell lifted.

Perfect conditions today, except for swell. Rain is forecast for the next few but wave action is a bit ify.

Apparently an 18 metre swell pounded Tassie over the weekend. Might be some big big waves at Shippies if the wind is right.

Slater v Shippies

In case you haven't seen it - Slater shows that Shipsterns is easy if you're him !!! As hard as it tries it can't even drag him over the falls.
