Sideways

Few nice looking 45 degree waves today with the continuing northerlies. Whippies seemed to be the best but peaks were everywhere and a bit of a moving feast.

I didn't get out there and it looks like the boards might stay dry for a while. Tomorrow could go either way with strong north easterly winds forecast. It could throw up some more wedges or just be to messy or push past. Keep an eye on it.

0.57 @ 12 but with north westerly seas at 0.75.

Same

Still plenty of north swell pumping through but also still choppy and a bit wonky. Whippies is the pick but all along the back beach there are waves.

While I was checking it out about 3.30 a single wave set came through at a solid 4 foot plus and really workable if you were out far enough (which no one was).

Coastalwatch indicates that there are some waves on the Dunsborough side of the cape. With the Naturaliste buoy showing over two and a metres of due north sea and a two metre plus west swell they probably are. I bet there are more than a few out at the Wedge near Inji hopping for a few mor Biancca style pits.

Waves Around

There are a few waves around but pretty lumpy and hard to catch.

From the surfclub to whippies there are waves and people. Saw a spitting death tube reel along the bank.

BP has waves with a few sneakers. The Bay has groms out but the waves look really hard to catch. Fraggles has the odd wave but no one out.

Winds are meant to stay light all day so could be ok later.
