Afternoon Check

Still plenty of swell around but there are no banks. No one out as nothing is really surfable.

Closest to an actual wave is at the Cut but the bank is a very, very long way out. You would need a friend with a boat to make it even remotely worth thinking about.

Next week looks like a bit of a mixed bag. The winds will shift into the north and we should get rain towards the middle of the week. The swell is meant to be up to 4 metres overnight and hang above 3.5 for the next couple of days. You'll need to be keeping an eye on it and take the chance if a window comes up, otherwise you'll only get wet in the rain.

Frustration

Still wet from an attempted surf at the Bay. Everything looks good but the waves were basically unsurfable. Even the body boarders were having trouble.

The Clam is busy but looks just as bad and the tide is too low at BP.

Still plenty of swell for the weekend.

Down south was meant to be epic but that should be taken with a grain of salt.

Still Stormy

Overnight was windy and it still is. The ocean is a washing machine like yesterday (and the day before) and the showers are meant to get more frequent this afternoon. Swell in the channel topped 2 metres for the first time this year and the Naturaliste bouy hit six.

The only waves are at the Wall and it is pretty crowded for the quality. There was about 20 out at 9.30 and plenty of drop ins and people run over. There was the odd wave though.

The clubbies have wimped out and taken the IRB exams to the inlet and maybe they bash out towards the Cut. The water levels are really high and lapping over the lower parts.
