Bunbury Surf is written by me. Its aim is just to show people what's happening surf wise in Bunno. Linked is an online photo album so if you surf around here you might make an appearance.
I have lived in Bunbury for about 14 years with the exception of three years in Dunsborough in the middle. I have surfed since I was 15 which was more that 25 years ago but still surf like a slightly better kook.
Bunbury is not usually thought of as a great surf town but it has its day. Mostly it is shore break close outs or flat but if you know where and when to be it can be fun and occasionally epic. Surf spots in the greater Bunbury area stretch from the rocky reefs of Binningup all the way to the locally protected Capel Cut.
Yallingup is about an hour away so it is a great place to head south from. Go early and your back just after lunch, burnt, tired and stoked.
